Days of the End

Lazareth looked up to the sky. "Each star shines so brightly, but even together their beuaty can't shine as brightly as Ivy's." "Now if only I can tell her that" He thought to hisself. He stood up and yelled "I LOVE YOU IVY!" People stared at him oddly, then went on by. Embarased he sat back down.

Ivy's eyes widened, as she shot up out of fright.
"WHO said THAT?!" She yelled back, hoping Jed hadn't come back to haunt her.
She walked around to see Lazereth sitting on the edge of the fountain, fidgeting.
"Lazereth?" Ivy asked: "What are you doing here?"

Lazareth jumped up quickly and hugged Ivy "I was looking for you! I thought something had happened to you." He said holding her tightly. "I'm so glad you are allright Ivy."

Ivy managed to hug him back as she questioned:
"Didn't you see my note?" She thought back now: "It must've gotten lost--oops. I'm sorry I worried you--I was fine!" She grinned now facing him.
"Well, not completely," She thought

OOC=I love the romance and all, but we have to bring some action in sooner or later... but for now lets continue on with the romance

Lazareth looked her in the eyes, "Ivy.. I have to tell you something..."
"Yes?" She asked intently.
"I...I... I love you Ivy" He blurted out nervously. "I finaly said it... And I feel so much better"

Ivy was stunned...she was so happy she couldn't do anything except stare; making Lazereth feel really stupid.
Suddenly she burst out laughing, and hugged him.
"Oh Lazereth," She kept giggling, as tears of joy trickled down her cheeks, and she wrapped her arms around his neck: "I'm so happy...I--I love you too, and I never want to be parted from you!"
Lazereth smiled, as he held her close:
"And you never will be--I promise."
Ivy grinned, and closed her eyes.
"Finally," She thought: "Now we can make eachother happy!"

They stopped their embrace, and held eachother's hands as they looked into each others' eyes. Ivy took advantage of the situation, and gave him a small kiss on the cheek.
They both turned bright red, chuckled together, and walked back hand-in-hand to the Inn...

OOC: ACTION!!! XD heheBIC:Akito sat on the top bunk of the other bed, staring out the window as it got darker and darker. Where could they be? Is Ivy alright? I hope she is....Akito sighed and swung her legs over the edge, putting her head in her hands and waiting for them. I wonder....if Lazareth told her....

Akito, and Kanon heard the door open; revealing Ivy and Lazereth both blushing and smiling...
"Awwwww..." Kanon cooed: "Lookie Akito! They're holding HANDS! SO CUTE!"
Ivy giggled as Akito mumbled:
"Yeah--really cute."
"Alright Kanon," Ivy giggled some more: "That's enough--let's get some sleep."
Kanon teased:
"Good NIGHT, lovebirds!"
"Good night Kanon," Ivy rolled her eyes: "Good night Akito."
Akito didn't look at either of them as she huffed:
"Good night you two."
Ivy frowned--Akito didn't seem like herself. She shrugged it off as she faced Lazereth, and grinned as she grasped his hand tighter:
"Sweet dreams, my dear--I hope you rest well."

Lazareth smiled, hugged Ivy and said "Good night." Then he went to his bed. "I say we never will part but... this isn't my world..." Lazareth was happy, but also sad. "In due time, I will have to return to my world... but I don't want to." He rolled over and closed his eyes, hoping to get a wink of sleep.

Somewhere in the back allyways Jed lied on the floor, trying to hang on to life as best he could. His bleeding was slowing, and possibly almost over. He moaned out in pain, hoping to get some ones attention. Suddenly he saw two boots step infront of his face. "Oh thank God, help" He looked up to see a shadowy man, dressed in cape and hat, with a mask over their face. "You're, Desert wolf Renfif!" He gasped. The man kicked Jed in the gut " Where are they?" he kicked Jed again. "Ahh, what are you doing you fool? I'm bleeding, are you trying to kill me?" Jed grabbed his stomach. "It's not such a bad idea. Now tell me where are they?" The man kicked Jed one more time. "Who? Lazareth and his friends?" Jed asked spitting out blood. "No, the seekers." The man replied. "I.... I don't know." Jed coughed out. "Are you not in contact with them?" The man asked stomping his foot on Jed's side. Jed groaned in great pain "NO!... They just stabbed me and left me here to die. And let me tell you, with friends like them I'm in no need of enemies." Jed spat out. "Fine, then you are of no use to me." The man stomped on his side one more time then walked away. "What? Are you just going to leave me?" Jed called out, "Hey! Don't walk away! Help me you fool!"

Ivy couldn't sleep at all that night; each time she tried, her heart leaped for joy at Lazereth's words: "I love you, Ivy."
She grinned as she pulled the covers up her to chin. Part of her wondered why Lazereth looked so sad when he said goodnight, part of her wondered how long this happiness was going to last, and part of her was too happy to care.
Suddenly she remembered something Lazereth said ealier:
"Love can be a wonderful thing--but love can also be a very painful thing."
"What could he mean?" She wondered: "Truly it was painful before loving him before I knew he loved me, but..." She sighed in contentment: "It doesn't matter now...Lazereth and I will stay together--forever. Even if that means traveling to the other side of the universe, even if that means leaving my sister here, I will do it! I won't give up the chance to be with Lazereth for anything--unless God tells me to. I hope he doesn't though."

Lazareth turned over, the sun was begining to creep in and he didnt' get any sleep. "Well atleast I can be happy that I have another day with Ivy" He thought as he got out of bed. He looked up at her, she seemed to be sleeping. He smiled as he stared at her "She really is beautifull." He thought examining the features of her face.

Ivy giggled a little, and smiled; clearly she was having a nice dream, and didn't want to get up so soon. She opened her eyes, and saw Lazereth watching her.
She blushed, and buried her face under the covers. She wasn't really used to anyone staring at her, but she loved it that Lazereth was gazing at her.

Akito was already up, just laying there in the bed and staring up at the ceiling. She glanced over and saw Lazareth looked at Ivy, Ivy wake up and blush like crazy, and Akito looked back up at the ceiling. I'm NOT supposed to be like this! I'm her friend for crying out loud! And his friend! Aren't I supposed to be happy? Maybe it's just the fact that I'm not used to it...yeah...that's it! Akito sat up and jumped down. "I'm going outside. Tell me when we're leaving." she muttered, forcing a smile and grabbing her katana, going out the door.

Ivy frowned, as she sat up:
"Akito, are you alright?"

Akito stopped and backed up, smiling truly at her this time. "I'm fine. Don't worry about me." then she left and walked down the hall, sighing.

Ivy looked at Lazereth, and smiled politely:
"Would you excuse me for a moment? Something's on Akito's mind."
Lazereth nodded, and Ivy went out into the hall, and found Akito.
"Why don't we get some breakfast?" Ivy grinned as she took Akito's arm, and whispered into her ear: "And you could tell me what's troubling you."

Akito's eyes widened. "Uh...s-sure..." she bit her bottom lip and they went outside. She looked around and sighed. "Where shall we eat?"

"There's a nice little Cafe over there..." Ivy beamed: "I'll pay for both of us."
Akito frowned uncertainly:
"You sure?"
"Of course."
After they went into the Cafe, they sat down, and ordered their meals.
While sipping on their glasses of water and juice; Ivy questioned Akito.
"So, what's wrong? I can tell you're upset in trying being happy for Lazereth and I...you're not jealous, are you?"

Akito's eyes widened and she spit out her water a little, choking. She coughed and took another drink, then shook her head, laughing a little. "No!!" she laughed again. "No, that's not it." she sighed. "I just need to get over the past, that's all." she muttered, stirring her water around with a straw. 

Ivy frowned in curiosity she sipped her water. She placed her hand on top of Akito's, and asked very gently:
"What do you mean, dear?"

Meanwhile outside the cafe, prying pale aqua eyes watched Ivy and Akito talk to each-other through the window. This figure was inconspicious enough to not draw attention to himself, but sly enough to be able to follow any victim that he chooses to stalk.
The stranger smiled to himself as he thought:
"THERE you ARE, Ivy...I've been looking ALL OVER for you!"

Bored Lazareth decided to go for a walk. "I'm heading out Kanon, if Ivy and Akito get back before me, tell them I'll be back later please?" He said walking out the door. "Ok.." Kanon yawned groggily. Lazareth Squinted as he stepped into the sunlight. his eyes adjusted quickly and he began his walk. "This city is so big. I haven't seen this many buildings in a desert even in Sollue." He thoguht to hisself as he looked around. Suddenly he noticed a peculure looking man staring in a window. "What is he doing?" Lazareth wondered as he discreetly aproached him. He then noticed that this man was spying in on Ivy and Akito. "Is this guy stalking the girls?" He drew his sword slowly and wakled up to the man. He placed the blade at the mans neck "Allright, what do you want creep?"

The man was startled.
"Uh--" Suddenly he realized what Lazereth was thinking: "OH it's NOT LIKE THAT HONEST!! I was just--" He swallowed nervously: "I--I just think I've found a friend of mine I've been looking for a long time."
He pointed into the window:
"Is the redhead's name Ivy? Please tell me it is--I'm Ivan, a very good friend of hers."

Lazareth looked at him suspicously "This guy is a friend of Ivy's?" Lazareth loward his sword... "Yeah that's Ivy... you are her friend?

Ivan bowed:
"Yes, I am...we've been friends since we were children, but then---we got separated after the fire. I thought she--died, but part of me hoped she'd still be alive, and she is..." Ivan started gazing at her through the window as he thought: "And she's as beautiful as ever...I wonder who the other girl is--I wonder who THIS man is, and why they know Ivy!"
"What's your name, sir?"

Lazareth put away his sword "I am Lazareth.. I have been traveling with Ivy for some time now." Lazareth responded
