Days of the End

Ivy ran over to him, and placed the back of his head on her lap. Not much help, but at least he wouldn't be scorched by the sand (and she could look at his beautiful face).
Kanon crossed her arms:
"It'd help us A LOT if you told us where you were going!"

Akito sighed and shook her head. "I don't even know where we are going." she muttered, going over and picking up her sword. She wiped it off on a rock and sheathed it.

Kanon rolled her eyes:
"Well that's just great! My house is like forever away, and we can't get any shelter here because we have to PAY for it! And, did I forget to mention that we don't have the foggiest idea of where we are going?"
Ivy smiled at her sister's obvious, but funny conclusions.
"So, what do we do Akito?"

Akito sighed and looked around. "Well, I'd say we look for an Inn of some type." she smiled a little. "I'll pay." she started walking down the street, looking for an Inn.

Kanon waved to Akito.
"WAIT for me! I want to come too!"
Ivy grabbed her hand as Kanon stood up: "Akito can find an Inn herself, Kanon."
"Yeah, but it's boring if she does."
Before Ivy could argue, Kanon caught up with Akito.
Kanon giggled as she whispered to Akito:
"Besides, Ivy and Lazereth need some couple time."
Ivy swallowed; exhausted, and embarrased. How was Lazereth going to react if he woke up with his head on her lap, and they were ALONE?
"Kanon, you're going to pay for this!" Ivy's thoughts grumbled.

Akito giggled a little and sighed, looking around. "Hmm..." she stopped in the middle of the street, which was by now full of people with stands and the sort set up everywhere. She stopped a person passing by. "Excuse me! Do you know where an Inn is around here?" the guy looked at her and nodded. "Yes ma'am I do!" he pointed down the road. "Down there a ways!" Akito smiled. "Thanks." she sighed and kept walking, glancing at the trinkets people had made to sell on her way by them. They got to the Inn where the guy had said and she sighed. "Here we are." she muttered, going towards it and opening the door. Akito went up the the front desk and sighed. "Hi. I'd like one room please." the guy at the front nodded. "How many beds?" Akito glanced at Kanon, then back at the guy. "Uh..." the guy sighed. "There are bunkbeds if you wish." Akito gasped. "Yes! Two bunkbeds!" The guy nodded and held out a key to her. Akito took it and gave him the right amount of coins, then looked back to Kanon. "Got it."

Ivy looked around and saw the streets starting to crowd back again.
The noise caused Lazereth to stir, and open his eyes.
"Ivy?"
Ivy giggled nervously, as her cheeks turned four shades of red:
"Ummm, good morning?"
"Kanon, YOU ARE SO DEAD!" Ivy's thoughts yelled

Akito walked down the busy streets, trying not to run into people. She found Lazareth and Ivy and giggled, glancing at Kanon. "Looks like he woke up, eh?" she sighed and walked to them. "Oi!" she held up the key, "I've got us a room!" Akito grinned at Ivy.

Lazereth stared at Ivy for a moment; it seemed like he didn't hear Akito at all.
Ivy covered her face:
"I wish I was invisible right now." Her thoughts moaned.
Lazereth made a random observation:
"Your hair looks like wavy copper in the sunlight."
Ivy wondered quietly:
"Is that a good thing?"
Before she could ask, Lazereth stood up, and she helped him walk to the to others.

Akito smiled a little and led the way there, not walking to fast. She took her time taking in everything as they passed by. It seemed like a really lively town. She sighed and they finally got to the Inn. "Here we are!" Akito held the door open for them all.

Ivy helped Lazereth up the steps, and walked inside as they all head to their room.
She was quite lost in thought though...
"Your hair looks like wavy copper in the sunlight," Her mind replayed what Lazereth said: "I wonder, does that mean my hair's as pretty as copper, or as shiny as copper, or ROUGH like copper wiring?"
"Thank you for paying, Akito." Ivy finally managed as they all walked into their room: "That's most generous of you. Do you need me to help you pay? I've got something very valuable if you more money."

Akito gasped. "No!!" she laughed a little. "It's fine. It's the least I can do." she sighed and got to the room. She put the key in, turned it, and went inside. "Here we are." there were two bunkbeds, just like the guy at the front desk said. One on the left side, one of the right. "Well, I'm not that tired." she muttered. "Since we just woke up."

Kanon ran to the one on the right:
"I CLAIM the top bunk!"
Akito whined:
"NO fair! I wanted the top-bunk."
"They're TWO bunk-beds, sheesh! Take the other top-bunk."
Akito rolled her eyes, and asked the others:
"Is it ok if I take the other one?"
Ivy laughed:
"Sure."
"I don't care," Lazereth chuckled as he hobbled over to the left bunk bed. Kanon suddenly changed her mind:
"Hey Akito! You take the top bunk of this one, while Ivy takes the top bunk of the other one!"

Akito turned to Kanon. "Eh?! Does it even make a---" then she got it and smiled, glancing at Ivy. "Riiiiiiiiight!! Alrighty then!" she smiled. "But, I'm gonna go take a walk around the town. It's a pretty decent place!" she smiled. 

Ivy frown in suspicion of Akito and her sister; what were those two up to?
Since she, Lazereth, and Kanon were all tired; they decided to stay behind to rest.
Kanon pretended to fall asleep immediately. Her ears were open to her older sister, and her newest friend...maybe someday soon, a new brother-in-law? Kanon smiled to herself.
Ivy just stared at the ceiling, not really falling asleep, but not really staying awake...a certain question was pestering her mind, but she didn't want Akito to be there when she asked.

Akito left the room and went down the stairs and outside into the streets. She sighed and put her hands behind her head, walking around. It's so nice outside...I wonder what it's like to live a normal life...Akito laughed a little, trying to picture it but couldn't. Little kids ran around, playing and giggling, chasing eachother. Akito smiled and sighed, stopping at each and every stand to see what they sold.

Ivy was glad when Akito was gone...she rolled over to see her sister on the other side of the room facing the wall; she seemed to be sleeping soundly.
Before nerves or common sense could stop her, she whispered:
"Lazereth?"
He hummed awake:
"Yes?"
"What did you mean earlier? I mean, about my hair." Ivy was hoping that he meant something tender, and sweet--or at least he liked it.
"Just what I said," He shrugged slightly: "It looks like copper in the sunlight."
"Oh." She responded, trying not to sound too disappointed...she rolled over, her thoughts sadly musing...
"I should've known...he probably already has some fiancee that he's trying to get back home too...well you don't know for sure, why don't you ask?"

Akito sighed and bought a piece of fruit, sitting down outside on the ground and just watching everything and everyone passing by her. She saw families. Childrens and parents laughing and talking to eachother. Akito looked down and bit her bottom lip.

"Lazereth?"
His eyes opened slowly as he breathed out:
"Yes?"
Ivy rolled over, and poked her head over the edge of the bed to see him:
"Have you ever been in love, or are you in love with someone right now?" She grinned cutely: "Is SHE the reason you want to get home so soon?"

Akito finished her piece of fruit and stood up, brushing herself off. She walked down a different street this time, but the activeness and livelyness of the town never ceased. Akito smiled and started to visit the stands again, buying something here and there to help a person out.

Lazereth looked at her:
"I was in love...once--she's gone now though."
"Oh, I'm sorry." Ivy winced, feeling very dumb.
He frowned in uncertainty:
"Why do you ask?"
Ivy blushed:
"I was just wondering. I've never been in love myself, so I always like to hear what it's like from others who are, or have been in love."
Lazereth rolled over, and stared at the wall:
"Love can be a wonderful thing--but at the same time, it can be a very painful thing."

OOC= Sorry for the double post, however I have an announcement!
Strawberry-Hime and Brittany-Chan: We need to take over Angel's Character for a while, because he's going to be home on spring break, and he has a bad internet connection at his house, so he won't be able to log on and post for about two weeks.

Lazareth turned over "Like copper in the sunlight... is that all you could think of?" He thought to hisself. Lazareth never was much for flattery, he spent most his life with soldiers he really only knew threw woman before this; Akito, his sister, and Harmony, and each one of them either died or dissapeared. "Man I really have horrible luck with woman" He laughed at hisself. "I just hope the same doesn't happen to her." Lazareth feared getting close to Ivy, he didn't want to loose another woman in his life. But a part of him wanted to get close to her. He felt drawn to her, as if there was some sort of connection to them.

OOC= Oops XD *huggles Angel* Thanks for letting me know, dear. :3 I thought it was either this week, or next week, but I wasn't sure.

Ivy carefully kept watching Lazereth for a little bit...he seemed so withdrawn--cold almost. She wondered what other horrible things happened to him to cause him to be so reserved; especially to her. She secretly hoped that her company would help his hurts heal faster, and cause him to be more open...especially with her.
"Please trust me, Lazereth," Ivy's thoughts pleaded: "I'm your friend--I want to help...but I can't if you won't let me."
